Hockey
Marking the end of our little trip home to Ethel my husband, my love played in a little hockey tournament. Hockey is an important part of our life...Andy plays often and it truly makes him happy to get out and just be on the ice. I love to watch him skate. It is graceful, peaceful, and appears to be more natural to him than walking. So, he plays...I watch
The tournament brought together a bunch of Andy's old buddies and a few new ones. Skating together and becoming a team. I sat proudly in the stands and supported my husband, my love. With any foul play I was holding my tongue and trying to be appropriate for the children surrounding me. Such pride in my husband! Sitting in the stands I strike up conversations with other wives of other players and get to hear all about the "good old days" when our guys were in college. Having those conversations of course leads to the forming of new friendships and looking for a familiar face the next time they all play together again.
You may be asking, why am I writing about a hockey weekend? Well, I truly love watching him play. I have enjoyed for a long time watching a Hawks or Blues game here and there. Curling up on the couch with him and catching a game...Even on our travels it is kind of our thing to go to a local hockey game wherever we are as well. Those are not the reasons though, I am a proud wife.
