Cooking like a fool

I truly love the art that is cooking. The methodical dance that brings about multiple ingredients to create the end result of a tasty and delicious meal for my loved ones and myself.
The more people I get to cook for the better the dance is. Recently we introduced our parents to one another and I stressed over what I was going to make. (this is a normal Sara reaction) At the end of the meal I thought, "Wow! I did a good job." Not to mention the praises I got from both sets of parents and my love, my husband.

My parents taught me how to cook when I was little. The traditions of Thanksgiving dinner with my dad and the simplicity of the every day dinner with my mom. Baking was something that just came natural, even after my Grandmothers taught me a thing or two. What I enjoy the most from all of those past experiences is making something my own.

So, I create meals...not just food that fuels our bodies but food that is delicious and is an event in our home. Fresh produce is like a drug. I can get lost in a Farmers Market or a produce store...just ask Andy.

ANYWAY, after settling in a bit more at the new digs (Which I love by the way) I have been up to some creations. My food is not photograph worthy but it is tasty.
First Nights dinner, stuffed zucchini "pizza"
I took a recipe I saw on pinterest and added a little of my own flair.

Apple Nachos
Healthy, filling and a great snack to share

Everyday Breakfast
This is special to my love, my husband, and I
Something we have done everyday that we have been with one another....
