Feels so good

Oh Ethel, how I love your old walls. I love the old sounds that come from the floor as I walk from room to room. I love the smells that I create coming from the kitchen. I love even the pipes that give us so much hassle and create such chaos here. Regardless we are home.

Thanks to a very awesome friend Amy I made a couple things to have on hand for meals. I made the sweet potato-black bean burgers on her blog. They smelled so good I wanted to eat them before they were done. I didn't put in the sunflower seeds but I think it will be pretty tasty. In addition to that I put a lentil soup in the crock-pot. My husband, my love, really enjoyed the last time I made lentil soup, so here goes attempt two. A little different recipe than the first but I think I might like this more. Recipe #3 has to do with a healthy snack. Roasted Chickpeas. Vinegar and salt to be specific.

All of the above mentioned took me less than an hour to prep and get cooking. I even had time to make us a tasty breakfast too! Man does it feel good to be home and doing the things I really love. Sounds silly I know. To love cooking but it is more than that. I love to prepare meals that make me feel good inside and out. There is such an enjoyment in creating something for others to enjoy. Mostly to create something that I put my heart and soul into.

I look forward to making ingredients into a meal.

On a similar subject, tomorrow our parents are meeting for the first time. I am cooking dinner....Yeesh I don't know what to make. Not that it matters. My parents and his both are very nice and like whatever is in front of them. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I have to admit I am a little nervous. My husband, my love, assures me all will be ok...Stay tuned

Oh and I cut my hair.
