NYC

We have been in Manhattan for a couple days now. Seeing the city through the eyes of a three year old and a ten month old is something totally different from an adult. I would assume at least. As a family we have gone to a couple parks, had some tasty meals and some fun memories made along the way.

For G, well he loves all things BOY so he is in his element. He loves to dig in the dirt, say hello to everyone we pass (which is a lot of people) and to look at all the "really big buildings."

As a family we are no strangers to traveling with the kiddos. Some of my friends and family marvel at how well we pack for long stays away from home....it is our life so we are used to it. This trip....I have aptly named #thewsmarathonbusinesstrip16 is 19 days and is 5 different cities; yes FIVE. Traveling is a constant struggle to find balance and adventure. Trying to keep the kiddos on their schedules and also doing something special and out of the ordinary for them. It is a race to beat the clock for bedtime and naptime while also being adults.
This current stop (in Manhattan) is for an event that Andy attends 2-3 times a year. Over the years we have made some friends and met other families that also attend this event. The last couple of evenings we have been lucky enough to be able to enjoy an adult meal with a friend that doesn't mind little people being around.
So my thoughts on New York as of today. There are alot...A LOT of people here. No matter where you go and no matter what time there are tons and tons and tons  of people. Some of those people are very nice and some are very not nice. Construction noise is constant. Traffic is scary. The weather is funny. The best thing is that in the middle of all this chaos and insanity you will stumble upon parks and open areas of greenery and simplicity.  Like any other city is very busy and it is a melting pot of cultures, people and everything else! I like it but also know that I couldn't make this place my home.
The most important part of all this chaos and traveling is that our little family stays together. It is a crazy life, but it is ours.
Today's adventure lies ahead. I have no clue what we are doing...but it will be something for sure.
