What I do....In a nutshell

Alright...So I am a nurse. I have been for over 11 years now. I love it. It has been some of the most stressful and difficult experiences I have ever had, but I love it. Being a nurse is something I believe I have always been. I love to care for people. Helping people and being there when they really need it is very important to me.  Never did I think I would do anything else....like EVER. I had and still have no aspirations to become a big nurse manager or move to the more corporate side of being a nurse. NOPE, I like being a staff nurse. I like being in the trenches and really being there.

All that being said I have become a couple other things. For one I am a wife. I love being married to my partner, my best friend, my lover, the father to my children and all the other titles he has as my husband. Life was not always sunshine and flowers but I met Andy and there was something so special and different about him. Our relationship started as a friendship and over time evolved into more than words can describe. I am honored every single day to be his wife. Happy to be his Mrs. W. Thrilled to be his partner. Our relationship is far from perfect but whatever it is I truly hope that everyone finds what we have.

Two I am a mom....Although 15 years ago I wouldn't have said that qualifies for a job, I now know the truth. Being a mom has taught me more about myself than I could ever learn being or doing anything else. My two boys challenge me and introduce me to all sorts of fun and excitement all the time and there is rarely a dull moment.

Another thing that I have become, and this one is big, is a leader. I am not naturally a leader. I actually shy away from leadership roles because of my personal and underlying issues with being in charge...About three years ago that changed when I joined Jamberry Nails, I saw the potential for greatness and I couldn't stay away. Over the past three years I have learned so much about myself as a person, a friend and a leader. I truly have found my "tribe" of women and a whole new facet of family. When I say "my nails changed my life"....well I am not kidding.
Families that Jam together!

I recently came back from our international conference with Jamberry where I (with some of my best friends) was recognized as a leader. While there the rooms are filled with women who all have other "things" that they do. Some are full time workers, some are full time moms, some are students, all of us had MANY things in common...WE just had to find those things out. When I returned home a friend shared this article and while I read it tears streamed down my face. What a great perspective to look at.

So often friends and family turn their noses and attention away from direct sales...Thinking that everyone is in a "pyramid scheme" or just selling the latest "crap." The truth is that direct sales can and has changed MILLIONS of lives. Before Jamberry I thought the same thing.... I would turn down invitations to events, I would roll my eyes and form wrong judgments. My reality came crashing down when I joined Jamberry. I saw real women working their own business...YUP THEIR OWN SMALL BUSINESSES and changing the lives of their families and teams. I soon saw and experienced many changes in my own family and my own life as well. The truth is I am not in Jamberry for the sales...Nope I am in it for the amazing relationships that I have and that I will form. My customers, hostesses, peers, team members and mentors are all people I truly value. Each one has influenced my life for the better.

Jamberry has made me a better nurse, wife, mom and leader. You may be thinking that can't be true. You are wrong.  Next time you are faced with purchasing something stop and think about the person who you could be supporting instead of the big box stores. You never know what amazing relationship you could be forming and how your life can be changed...You might even starting "doing" something else.

Ok...So I have quick outlined being a nurse, a wife, a mom and leader with Jamberry...What else is there? A Whole lot actually....way more than I think. So Stay tuned for further fun with me!
Cheers
