DUBS

Well it has been a wonderful little secret to keep but it is time to make it known...Andy, my husband, my love and I are expecting a little Baby Dubs to join our family in mid-April. It has been such a wonderful nine weeks of having this little miracle to ourselves, but now after telling our families we have decided to make it known to the rest of everyone!

Today was a magical day. We had the wonderful experience of hearing the little baby's heart beat for the first time! We have been lucky enough to see the baby about four weeks ago at the Doctor's office. The ultrasound tech sweetly called our little baby a "gummy bear" and with it moving and grooving around we were happy to take babies first picture. Today hearing that little heart beat was so special. We have seen the baby growing inside and today we go to hear the little life that our love created.

Since finding out that we were pregnant Andy has been taking a weekly photo of me and the growing baby...Something to document the progression and travels of our little family. Thus far our little growing Baby Dubs has been very well traveled. I look forward to seeing the photos near the end....oh our adventures!

The planning of announcing our little "bundle of joy" was also super amusing. Since Andy's parents came to see us before we departed from Oregon we surprised them at the airport with a little sign that said "Congrats Grandma and Grandpa." The look on their faces was amazing and well worth the wait to tell them.
Then came the part to tell my family. Seeing as my sister has two kids, we wanted to do something different. My mom had planned a family portrait to be taken and we called the photographer and let her in on our little secret. The first group shot was it, the photographer said "one, two" and I yelled out "Sara's pregnant" as she snapped everyone's reactions. That is a photo worth it all!

Andy and I are settling into the idea of being parents and all the decisions that come with that. It has been a fun adventure so far, but as usual we are looking forward to whatever adventures are ahead of us and our growing family.

So baby makes five. Andy, Sara, Bishop, Bomber and Baby Dubs....So exciting.
