Working and Recycling

I am not creative. I like to think I am but unless I have an example of something I can't visualize anything. So thank you for PINTEREST! I was able to take a couple of examples and try to be a creative lady this week.

This week being home at Ethel I was able to do some up-cycling of older things. See my other creations as well.   Photos of this weeks fun and up-cycling described below.

A simple pair of pallets- found so no cost! Screwed together with screws from home, also no cost.

The casters are ones that lock so a rolling table can become a fixed table (2$ each) The table was then sanded and painted with paint from home. Can't wait to put this little (well large) table to use in our new upstairs.

I took a table that we had sitting in the upstairs, painted it red and went crazy with round objects fund around the house. The top is a little mess of circles that makes it more fun!

This was my favorite creation of the week. We found this little nightstand at a garage sale for 10$. So awesome. I spray painted the top with a gold spray paint and then found some leaves from the backyard to use a stencil. Rolled some black paint over the leaves and done. I painted the rest of the piece and then distressed it with some sand paper. 

Being home has been awesome. We got some major progress done in the upstairs, some little details are done throughout the house as well. I love our home. The next few days/week are going to be some much needed relaxation. Well that and enjoying the new fun things of the house!

The floor has been laid, the insulation in, the built in done, the paint done....waiting to stain.
