Where you are

Having been off of work for the past couple weeks I have really been blessed to spend some QT with my little family. There isn't a "best part" because it all is. We are home, Ethel! We are together! BLISS
It has been wonderful. Days of waking up with the sun, enjoying brisk walks with the pups and days full of adventures. Instead of taking a trip somewhere we decided to spend some much needed time in our little home. Andy's parents traveled to help us work on the house as well. Soon enough Ethel will be completed and our comfy, wonderful little home will be just that....our home. Of course there will always be the "honey-do-list" but some big things are being crossed out. Memories are being made.

It is the journey....the fun things.

The fun part of all of this is the little things.. Painting the kitchen. Painting the bathroom. Taking advantage of the "pins" and making fun tables with the watchful eyes of my husband and my father-in-law. Each day has brought something else about that makes it more exciting. Some days are tearing weeds out of the gardens, others are painting in the house while Andy and his dad are hammering away upstairs...Most importantly are the moments that no one else may understand. The moments that we are together, making a house a home.

I love watching Andy and his father work side by side and doing things I could only hope to have the knowledge of one day. They work next to one another with a silent connection, an understanding of what they are creating together. I wish I could take a photo of such moments and have them stored away in my mind...only to bring them out one day and remember the amazing memories they created together.

Andy, Bishop, Bomber and I are enjoying our time. Watching the pups run around the back yard and be pups is amazing. Seeing the possibilities of the future is overwhelming. It makes leaving home so hard. I want to stay in this moment, on this journey. Making this place THE place. The road to the future is twisted and has many turns. Which one we will take is always up for debate....Currently we are sitting on the porch with our tiny amazing little family and enjoying the simplicity of whatever it all is.

Stay tuned for the next adventures locations....
