Some Lazy Days
I am sure that people all over have read all about the winter storm that hit the midwest. Although most people were worried and nervous about it, I saw it as a blessing.
Yesterday morning I had to work for a few hours. A lot of the people I worked with were all up in arms about the impending snow storm and "terror" that is the weather. Around 11 all the bosses started to send us all home to "be safe." A nice sentiment though.
Andy and I curled up in our loft and just relaxed. Something I am not good at doing. There were no lists, nothing that had to be done. Instead we watched some silly television, talked endlessly, ate some delicious home-made food, napped and were just us. For a bit we braved the outside and walked the pups. It is always so fun to see them prance and play in the snow. With everyone nestled in their homes for the night it felt like we were the only people in the whole city, enjoying our own winter wonder land.
Again with the sunrise the relaxing elements of the day continued. A slow start with a tasty hearty breakfast and true simplicity. Days like the last couple are few and far between but always such a gift. It makes me remember that sometimes the weather shouldn't be the only thing that reminds me to slow down. the important times are the moments when we are just...
