New Day, New Haircut, Currently
Ok, First off I must apologize. I am sorry dear blog that I have ignored you for such a long period of time...WOW have we been busy!
After working much too hard for the past couple weeks our midwife gave us a stern talking to that I must start to slow down. I guess being 8 months pregnant I should...We shall see. I counted my shifts left at both hospitals and there are 20! Seems like a lot, but that is spread over the next 6 weeks. There are 11 shifts more at the Baby Store as well. I feel good about that schedule. In preparation to "slow down" I actually wrote out the word "NO" on my calendar so that I won't plan more or pick up more hours.
I will admit that I am starting to get very tired much sooner than normal. Naps seems to happen without my intention but I guess that makes up for the lack of sleep I am getting through the night. The last few nights have been especially hard. Truly just uncomfortable making an already sleepy person plain crabby and more irritable.
So what else is new???
Well, Ethel is coming along nicely and I think that we will be done sooner than planned! It has been a project that Andy and I have worked together on for so long that recently it has become hard for me to take more of an observant role. I will admit I have helped still, probably when I shouldn't have. A few small details more to go and we will be ready to PAINT!!! I feel like painting is the last mile marker before the end of a long race. It means there needs to be one more big push and we will be complete!
We had our first baby shower this past weekend in STL and it was lovely! I had so much fun making all the little details come to life at the shower and loved having people over. I think that the shower has kicked off my excitement a little bit more than I thought it would. All of these plans have always been so far off and now here they are! STL kicked off the showers, and now I have a couple more to look forward to! I can't wait to see all my friends and family...it makes me feel so special and so honored to have people come and celebrate The Dubs with Andy and I.

Baby Shower! Hope you like it!
Today I treated myself to a haircut! Who knew how much a simple thing like a haircut can make your day so much brighter. It was a weight lifted off my shoulders! Silly I know, but it was. After the cut at a great new salon in STL, Drew Henry, I went to one of my fav places and had a cup of coffee and a tasty treat! The evening was capped off with a recorded hockey game and a laughter filled night with Andy! Can't ask for a better day!
I hope to keep up a little more on you my little blog, but for now...stay tuned.
