Andy and I decided that for the majority of our pregnancy I would "try to take it easy." So I didn't decide to take on another travel nurse contract after Oregon, but rather just spend my/our time between Ethel and Saint Louis. The first couple weeks of this went smoothly, and then as usual I got into my normal routine. Now instead of working one full time job I have three part time jobs. The thing is I really like all of them and I enjoy the differences that each one has to offer! So this is my dilemma. How does everyone else balance the following....and in no particular order?
Self
Spouse
House
Health
Profession
Exercise
Sleep
Family
Dogs
Relaxation
I am at a loss. If I am doing really well at work, other parts of my life suffer. If I am not working all the time, my exercise and health are in top notch shape. Being pregnant complicates all that even more. Sure I am tired, but it isn't anything I can't handle. I am more worried about once the baby is here. How do you find time to workout, work and take care of baby, self and souse?
This is not a concern that is keeping my up at night, but it is something that seems to be looming over my head and is similar to a storm. You know, the storm that you know is coming and you should go close up all your windows and doors...but you just can't.
Thoughts???
Life is a balance and you have to find your own.
ReplyDeleteWork, home, self, spouse, etc... all have a place and you will find that place. If you like your job(s) keep them. There's no reason to give them up unless your health is an issue. Don't lose sight of yourself in an effort to please other
Try not to stress too much about doing it all. Take it moment by moment. Know that your struggles are shared by many, including me! I am here if you need anything.
