Time

Make time.... One can't easily do that. There is no way to make 60 minutes more than just that. I have found though that it is really important to make the best of 60 minutes. Gone are the days of being on a tentative schedule. Gone are the days where there isn't a plan. Sometimes that is overwhelming and it feels as though "making time" is a pointless task.

I read tips and tricks of successful mothers all the time. Do this, do that and you and your family will be happy and healthy...HA! Is what I have to say to that. It is important to make time for myself everyday...TRUE. There is a huge BUT to that statement. Before making time for myself meant an entire day of just enjoying. Something like, a breakfast with friends in the morning, a yoga class, a cup of coffee, dinner and maybe a cocktail. Now time for myself is getting my daily workouts in, taking a shower and finishing a cup of coffee without having to re-heat it. Sounds easy enough but it isn't.

I love being a mom, I love being able to stay home with Gus the majority of the time. There is also the part of me that misses my own time, my time with my partner and the quiet that no longer exists. For awhile I found myself fighting the new routine, the new "it" that was my to be my life. After embracing it life has gotten easier so-to-speak. I have a decent routine down. it varies occasionally but for the most part it is what it is.

I think about writing often and by the end of the day I think about 100 other things i would like to get done first. So, I apologize for not writing more often or more understandably. This is a  little bit of a mind dump, but it feels good to get it done....
My 60 minutes is coming to a close and I would like to have some "time for myself."

A little family fun in the sun
