Big Day

Tomorrow is Day one at the new job. We made the drive and we have settled into our new area...Even enjoyed a wonderful evening of laughter, beers and great friends. So now it is time to get to work so-to-speak.

The drive (yes we practiced) to the hospital is a beautiful one and something that I think will benefit the comings and goings of work. Having the time to get ready and then to decompress before and after work is important. That way when I get home I am not totally hyped up on work and the opposite for arriving at work. The area around the hospital also seems pretty sweet. It reminds me a little of where I worked in California...Not what you would picture for a hospital setting but it seems to work for the area.

Anyway, tomorrow bright and early (I am not a morning person) I start my new contract. I am not nervous, more anxious to see the place, find where I am going and get going. That is what I am there for right??? To help, to work and get things started. I look forward to meeting new faces and seeing how yet another hospital system runs. This location is a very well-known "super-hospital." Having never worked at a facility like this I am interested to see the inns and outs.

So, I will get up and put on my fancy clothes and do the week one of the new contract. Stay tuned.
